NATIONAL RESEARCH
FOUNDATION-RATED
RESEARCHERS
The total number of NRF-rated researchers at DUT increased to 40 in 2020, up from 37 in 2019 – an overall increase of 8%. All these newly rated researchers are male. Two of the three additional researchers were Established Researchers and the third was rated as a Promising Young Researcher. With the inclusion of these researchers, the following key changes in the number and composition of NRF-rated researchers were observed in 2020:
There was an increase in the number of male researchers from 26 to 29.
One researcher previously rated at C3 was re- rated to C1.
One researcher previously rated at Y2 was re- rated to C3.
The number of C1-rated researchers increased from 3 to 4.
The number of C2- and C3-rated researchers both increased from 10 to 11.
