“Our regional and international partners play a big role in ensuring we, from the offset, embark on research that aims at solving real-time applied problems. Our postgraduate student body has also grown and our researchers are pushing above their respective boundaries. We are always grateful to our Council, the Vice-Chancellor & Principal Professor Thandwa Zizwe Mthembu and the rest of the DUT Management team for the support they have given to driving research, innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly over the last ve years! This achievement is also a recognition of our DUT people, who are instrumental in delivering on our strategy! Let’s keep up the acceleration to 2030!” said Prof Moyo. Conveying her congratulatory message, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Teaching and Learning, Professor Nokuthula Sibiya said: “The ranking of DUT in the Top 100 universities in emerging economies in the world
is a huge achievement. Our staff and students always work hard to ensure DUT’s sustainability, which is one of the University’s perspectives of the ENVISION2030 strategy. We will continue to work hard to sustain these world rankings.”
