Mungusa Is Grateful For The Opportunity To Study At DUT

Penuel Bosworth Mungusa graduated Cum laude for his Bachelor of Technology degree (Btech) in Cost and Management Accounting during the Faculty of Accounting and Informatics graduation ceremony’s second session (Monday, 13 May 2019) at the Fred Crookes Sports Centre, Steve Biko Campus in Durban.

“Graduating Cum Laude made me feel extremely happy and motivated. It makes me want to achieve greater things. I am also pleased that all the hard work had paid off. I thank God for everything and my family for all the support they gave me,” he said.

He enrolled in Cost and Management Accounting because it was also one of his goals he had set to achieve in his life. He also believes that this course requires people who are reliable as it deals with number-crunching. Being a DUT student was not an easy journey for Mungusa, as it was a passage that entailed lots of sacrifice, stress, and sleepless nights, on his part.

“The most important thing I kept in mind was to maintain and pursue my mission of being a DUT student. I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to be one, achieve my goal of studying and being a better person than before,” he said.

His advice to other students wishing to embark in such a career choice is to work hard and never give up on their dreams. The hard-working Mungusa is looking forward to doing his Masters Degree next year, (2020).
