The Durban University of Technology (DUT) is set to host the 2024 Spring Graduation Ceremonies at the Durban Exhibition Centre on Thursday, 19 September 2024.
A total of 929 students from the Durban and Midlands campuses will graduate, comprising of 524 women and 405 men. This means that 55.7% of the graduates will be women. There will be three individual graduation ceremonies hosted on one day. The first session will commence at 09h00, followed by the second session at 14h00 and the last session will start at 18h00.
The University will confer degrees and award diplomas, whilst recognising the achievements of all of the adaptive graduates. Earlier this year, 6991 students graduated during the autumn graduation season at DUT.
Starting the celebrations on Thursday morning 19 September 2024 at 09h00, will be graduands from the Faculty of Accounting and Informatics, together with the Faculty of Arts and Design. In the second session at 14h00, graduands from the Faculty of Management Sciences will dominate the graduation ceremony. In the closing session at 18h00, graduands from the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment and from the Faculty of Health Sciences, will jointly share the graduation stage as they receive their qualifications.
