A Helpful Kind of Cuppa

DUT’s Isolempilo Campus Health Clinic, Steve Biko Campus, has successfully fundraised R9048.90.  in their annual Cuppa Cansa drive which seeks to raise funds for cancer patients.
“This year, the Isolempilo Campus Health Clinic decided to continue fundraising for the Highway Hospice. The Highway Hospice provides a palliative care programme which is the total care of patients whose disease is no longer responsive to curative treatment,” said Sooriagandhi Wardthen, Isolempilo Campus Health Clinic Manager.

Wardthen thanked Karen Ferguson, DUT Chemistry Department Secretary, for her sterling co-ordination. She also the Chemistry Department for its contribution of R1000.00 as well as the Public Relations Department for its donation of R868.00.

“The second year Public Relations students also played a major role in this initiative as they raised R573.10 and motivated other Departments in the ML Sultan Campus to also donate,” she said.
