The Green Heart Movement was successfully launched at Alliance Francaise, Durban in Morningside on Friday, 18 November. The celebration was aimed to alert the community to what climate change has done to our world and what it will do to future generations if we do not take responsibility for our planet.

To demonstrate what should be done, indigenous plants were planted to mark the beginning of a new world where we should all think green. The guests in attendance were treated to soulful music by Poppy Seed who sang about humanity and the human soul that is missing in the world today.

A green cake was also served to show that the green world won’t be as boring as many believe. This “green world” will need huge sacrifices, not only from the world leaders who will be at the ICC for COP17, but from everyone who calls earth home.
